WiFi Packs

Plug and play WiFi packs: professional coverage from day one

A Data General plug and play WiFi pack is not a kit of components to assemble and configure. It is a complete wireless network system, factory pre-configured and ready to run the moment it is connected to power and to your internet line. No setup wizards, no shared default passwords, no support calls to get started. Take it out of the box, connect the included cables and your network is live.

What does each pack include?

Every Data General pack includes everything needed for a complete professional WiFi network: the WS7005 controller, acting simultaneously as internet gateway, PoE switch and access point controller; the WiFi 6 access points suited to the installation environment; the necessary Ethernet cabling (indoor packs); and the wall-mounting bracket kit. Everything pre-configured with three independent WiFi networks: main network, guest network with client isolation enabled, and an IoT network for home automation devices and sensors.

The entire installation is managed from the WIS cloud platform (wis.datageneral.cloud), accessible from any browser. Access credentials are delivered to the customer by email and SMS at activation, with no password ever travelling physically with the hardware.

Three families for every environment

Signal — Indoor WiFi coverage

Signal packs are designed for indoor spaces: homes, offices, retail premises, clinics, small hotels. The DG-AP850 WiFi 6 access point delivers omnidirectional coverage of up to 200 m² per unit, supporting up to 128 simultaneous devices and speeds of up to 3,000 Mbps. Available as Signal (2 APs) and Signal Pro (3 APs).

Extreme — Outdoor and industrial WiFi coverage

Extreme packs feature the DG-AP680-AX3000-O access point, IP68-rated for outdoor installation, industrial warehouses, car parks and any environment exposed to weather or harsh conditions. Resistant to water, dust and extreme temperatures. Available as Extreme (2 APs) and Extreme Pro (3 APs). Cabling not included: outdoor Cat6 cable is recommended, available as an accessory.

Beam — High-ceiling industrial WiFi coverage

The Beam pack uses the DG-AP680-AX3000-S sectorial access point, with a 60° antenna designed specifically for installation on ceilings over 5 metres high: logistics warehouses, storage facilities, sports halls, hangars and distribution centres. The sectorial radiation pattern focuses the signal downward, maximising floor-level coverage and eliminating the lateral interference typical of omnidirectional APs in high-ceiling spaces. Available as Beam (2 APs) and Beam Pro (3 APs).

Expansion packs: grow without changing system

If your installation grows or you need to cover more space, Signal-S, Extreme-S and Beam-S expansion packs let you add between 1 and 4 additional access points of the same model, including an 8-port PoE switch (DG-S1930K-8GP2S-120W) to connect them. All additional APs integrate automatically into the same network and are managed from the same WIS account, with no reconfiguration required.

DG Care compatible

All packs are compatible with DG Care, the Data General technical support and maintenance service. With DG Care active, you receive priority support for any incident, remotely managed firmware updates and periodic network health reviews. No surprises, no waiting, no per-incident charges.
